Basic Info:

When the battery voltage is higher than the set value, generally 14v or 28v, the switch pipe will be disconnected and the power will be stopped to the excitation coil of the generator. Without the excitation current, the generator can only stop the power generation. When the voltage is lower than 12v, the switch pipe will be connected, and the generator gets the excitation current and then generates electricity. When the engine speed changes, the regulator can automatically change the current of the excitation coil, so that the output of the engine is more stable. The voltage regulator is used to adjust the voltage, used in the synchronous alternator, can detect the port voltage of the generator, through the regulation of the exciter to adjust the current of the main magnetic field (small power control and high power), adjust the magnetic field, to achieve voltage regulation. The most basic function of the voltage regulator is the automatic voltage regulation (AVR), which can be distributed when connected to the machine, and the generator PF / VAR can be adjusted when connected to the grid.
